CHMSC to hold career, job fiesta

THE Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) is conducting the Career and Job Fiesta at CHMSC Talisay Campus Gym on December 1, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The activity is in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) in Western Visayas, Public Employment Service Office (PESO) - Talisay, Talisay City Government, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), and Federation of Alumni Associations of CHMSC.

Around 1,200 jobs from 40 participating local and national companies, three international companies, and eight business process outsourcing (BPO) will be offered during the event.

CHMSC Director for External Affairs Rhoderick Samonte, in a statement yesterday, said the Career and Job Fiesta, as a form of public service, aims to link the graduating students and alumni as well as the general public with potential employers and available employment opportunities.

“This event will also become an avenue for information sharing between organizations, companies, and job seekers”, he added.

All interested jobseekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume with recent 2x2 ID picture and supporting documents like transcript of records, diploma, and certificate of trainings, among others.

Applicants may also bring soft copies of their documents as free document printing will be offered at the venue.

There will also be a PhilPost Postal ID application during the event. Early birds and hired-on the-spot will be receiving surprise gifts.

The Career and Job Fiesta, organized by CHMSC Center for External Affairs, was first conducted in October 2017. (PR)
