The Bullies and Penthel came away with victories at the start of the Kuz Control Cup 2019 at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along General Maxilom Avenue last Friday, December 6, 2019.
The Bullies beat down Drink and Ball, 83-48, behind the command performance of big man Aaron Suson who had a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds along with two assists, two blocks and a steal. Ryan Jay Cagigas and Nesbel Manugas also added 10 points apiece for the Bullies.
Penthel, meanwhile, defeated Harley Davidson of Cebu, 73-55. Harmsway Molina filled the stat-sheet up with a standout performance of 14 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block.
Jair Igna led Harley Davidson with 21 points, built on six three-pointers.
