THE mother of a Bacoleña who was killed in Colorado, United States is hoping that her daughter's body would be brought home on Christmas.
Cely Recelistino, who is a retired capitol employee and a resident of Purok Kasilingan in Barangay Tangub, said she is closely coordinating with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for the return of the remains of her daughter, Russcel.
The 27-year-old victim was killed by her husband, Joseph Allan Garza, at their home in Fort Lupton, Colorado last November 27.
Russcel was a human resource management graduate of La Consolacion College in Bacolod City.
She went to US for an on-the-job training in Minnesota in 2015 and later moved to Colorado where she met her husband.
Recelistino said her daughter's employer at the Wholly Stromboli Restaurant has been helping them in processing the return of Russcel's body to the country, as well as seeking justice for her death.
She said Russcel told her in their phone conversations that the latter's husband was very jealous even towards Russcel's co-workers.
"He would even open her mobile phones and social media accounts," Recelistino added.
