Philippine Chinese Racing Club races for hope one lap at a time

CLARK FREEPORT -- While all car enthusiasts seem to have at least one personal reason for joining car clubs which is to share interests, only some have other reasons for doing so.

Car enthusiast group Philippine Chinese Racing Club (PCRC) raced for a cause at the Clark International Speedway in Clark Freeport, Mabalacat, Pampanga on Saturday, December 7.

PCRC is currently one of the largest Chinese non-profit racing clubs in the country. It is committed to promoting healthy car playing and four wheels, heavy machine modification and night running culture.

Since its establishment, the club has garnered more than 500 members coming from various fields such as real estate, engineering, finance, banking, insurance, manufacturing, logistics, trade, internet, law, education, media, retail and service industry.

PCRC is the only green club in the Philippines that advocates and insists on non-profit purposes.

The club is committed to bringing together Chinese people in the country for a mission -- to lend a loving and helping hand to those in need.

All the club members are loyal to the philanthropy of the organization which is to support the children of different foundations so they can continue to aim high and reach for their dreams.

The event by PCRC was an activity to share happiness and put smiles on the faces of the children in light with the Holiday Season to their chosen foundation, Duyan ni Maria Children's Home, where they donated P500,000 and raised another P300,000 which will go to the PCRC Charity Foundation to help other institutions.

Duyan ni Maria is a 32-year-old child-caring institution in the Philippines which hopes to raise awareness and funds to build a new home for its children.

In addition, premium, luxury car brands such as Lamborghini, Ferrari and Maserati will once again blaze through the racetracks of Clark International Speedway to raise awareness for these foundations, one lap at a time. (PR)
