Pacete: No to shabulized Christmas

IF FOR the men of good will Christmas means following what Jesus Christ wants to happen in our life; in the narco world, it could also mean illegal drug-selling, illegal drug-giving and illegal drug-sharing. For the illegal drug couriers, Christmas is the season that favors the law of supply and demand.

Shabu could still be the best seller because even the street children can afford it ... after stealing from reckless victims. In high-end Christmas parties, “nepenthe” will be a star to those who want to forget their pains and sorrows. Those who want to go up, up and away will embrace hallucinogenic drug.

It is common for teenagers to have “knock out drops” if they want to be unconscious after a heavy toast of a beer with a horse kick; or they may swing to “antagonist” to neutralize or counteract the effect of another drug. The agents of persons in authority assigned to drug proliferation in our community should consider this.

Raiding the safe houses in the slums could be easy but penetrating school parties, shindigs in subdivisions, stag party, hen party and those banquets sponsored by the drug lords could be like passing in a needle’s eye. The PNP and NBI should send in their moles, agent provocateurs, infiltrators, and undercover agents.

Drug potentates handling the different drug groups are not within the punch reach. They could be hibernating in their elite safe houses and they enjoy protection from gods and goddesses. Their tentacles keep moving and their trusted men maintain good connection.

This could be within hypotheticals and hyperbolics but no one can never tell if the drug lords are also preparing “boxes of gifts” for the politicians and to the men and women of the drug enforcement teams. If this could be true, someone with iron balls can come out and tell us the story.

Many of our persons in authority may say that this offer of the drug lords could be too much for a Christmas temptation. Well, the only way to get rid of the temptation is to yield to it. No civilized man regrets a pleasure. Everything that is meant to happen does ... eventually. Think about it.

We are telling our law enforcers all about these because our war on drugs has many unspoken rules. As law enforcers you are committed to protect our citizens with courage, to defend the vulnerable with compassion, and to uphold justice without fear or favor. You have no problem in refusing “gift boxes” from drug lords. It’s only a problem if you make it a problem. Never underestimate the power of denial.

We would like to believe that the men behind our enforcement teams are smart and ready to defeat the illegal drug personalities this Christmas. If you are not smarter that the “crows” you are dealing with, you lose. Defeat the enemy anyway you can. Make use of your actionable intelligence. Sometimes you have to stand up when standing isn’t easy. Let us prevent a shabulized Christmas.
