Kapangan to showcase tourism sites, culture



A TWO-DAY tour has been mapped out anew to visit the wonders of Kapangan town in Benguet.

The local government unit invites all stakeholders and the officials of Benguet to the annual “Christmas Ed Kapangan” set December 14 to 15.

A tour package at P2,000 was set by the municipal government for every participant to enjoy set of activities promoting the town’s tourism sites and traditions.

The tour is inclusive of transportation, lodging, tour guide fees, meals, snacks, souvenir shirt, environment and entrance fee.

For its 11th year, the tour organized by the municipal tourism office covers physical activities such as trekking, swimming, visiting caves and destinations within the Benguet town.

The first day starts with participants convening at the Kapangan Welcome Arc going towards Suvani's Avong, visiting Taba-ao Viewdeck, Dangwa Cave and Bulalacao Cave adventure, sightseeing at Obellan-Catampan Rice Terraces, Longog Cave Adventure, Amburayan River swimming and rappeling, camping at barangay Sagubo followed by fellowship program with a dinner and bonfire, cultural show, games and jamming.

The second day will be filled with morning exercises, trekking at the Badi Falls and Sayote Picking.

Kapangan, located in the northern part of the province can be reached by a two hour drive from Baguio City via-Acop-Kapangan-Kibungan-Bakun Road.
