AFTER serving the milk tea requirements in Manila, Pro Possmei International Corp. is setting its sights on the Visayas and Mindanao, where the milk tea craze remains upbeat.
“The milk tea market is now a bit saturated in Manila. That is the reason why we are spreading our wings so we could cater to the needs of the VisMin milk tea players,” said Pro Possmei managing director Jose Ho Jr.Ho said the popularity of milk tea in the Philippines has become more than a “fad” as its market continues expanding.
“It has earned the interest of the younger market and it has opened business opportunities to so many Filipinos,” said Ho.
Pro Possmei International Corp. is an exclusive and sole distributor of Possmei, a Taiwan-based top distributor of milk tea ingredients and other beverage related products.
Pro Possmei is a subsidiary of Cebu-based Profood International Corp.
“Our presence in the Philippines makes the milk tea business viable for those aspiring entrepreneurs,” said Ho, adding that those who are in the business used to import milk tea ingredients from Taiwan,
making it a bit more tedious and expensive on their part.
“We want Cebuanos to know that they can purchase milk tea ingredients here and much cheaper than ordering abroad,” he said.
Since the milk tea craze in the Philippines grew, Pro Possmei has set up warehouses in Manila and Cebu to directly serve their clients.
As part of their expansion plans, the company announced it will soon introduce a course on professional milk tea making for those who want to start a milk tea business. “We will bring it to Cebu in the next few months,” said Ho. (KOC)
