6 more establishments ordered closed

SIX business establishments in Bacolod City were closed by the City Government on December 12 for operating without a business permit.

The closure order was implemented by the City Legal Office (CLO)-Enforcement Team.

Stela Rose Rayos, head of Permits and Licensing Division, said the six business establishments include hotels, a pension house and restaurants.

She said they earlier recommended to CLO the closure of seven business establishments, but one of them immediately remedied its violation.

The six business establishments were also given notices for their violations, but they failed to rectify their non-compliance.

Last month, two hotels and a pension house were also closed by the City Government for operating without a business permit.

Rayos said the Joint Inspection Team (JIT) was deployed in various areas to inspect the business permit.

“The erring business establishment owners will be given three days to comply their violations and if they failed to comply it, their documents will be forwarded to the CLO,” she said.

She added the business establishments should comply with the requirements first, so they can operate again.
