City Hall to release ‘biggest bonus’ this week

BACOLOD City Mayor Evelio Leonardia said the City Government will release the P40,000 additional bonus to its 1,375 regular and plantilla casual employees this week.

The mayor said he was informed by City Budget Officer Ma. Imelda Williams that this would be the biggest bonus that Bacolod City Hall employees will receive.

The amount is broken down into P25,000 for Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA), P10,000 for Service Recognition Incentive (SRI), and P5,000 for Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI).

PEI is a fixed amount, while the SRI was pursuant to Presidential Administrative Order No. 19 series of 2019 issued by Malacañang.

The amount for CNA is flexible and will depend on the savings that the city government was able to generate.

Leonardia said the CNA is an incentive that needs the support and cooperation of the employees.

Due to the good performance of the city government this year as proven by the awards, recognitions and accolades they received, particularly those coming from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), they believe that the City Hall employees deserve to receive this benefit.

That is why they are going for the maximum of P25,000, the mayor said.

Among the major awards that Bacolod City received this year were:

*Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) given by the DILG national office on November 5, 2019;

*Best Performing City in Western Visayas at the 2019 Excellence in Local Governance (EXCELL) Awards given by the DILG on December 3, 2019;

*Top Philippine Model City for 2019 grand winner, given by The Manila Times on September 25, 2019;

*Special Citation in the Most Business-Friendly LGU Awards given by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry on October 16, 2019;

*National Finalist at the Digital Governance Awards (eGov) given by the DICT, NICP, and DILG on November 26, 2019; and
