IT WAS a double celebration for Maayo Hotel as it not only welcomed the holidays, it also celebrated another year of showcasing Cebuano hospitality with its event, “Tropical Shindigs: Maayo Hotel’s Christmas Tree Lighting and 2nd Anniversary Appreciation Night” last Nov. 26.
Guests, comprised of those who have long supported the brand for two years, were dressed in vibrant and playful hues marveling at its 24-feet Christmas tree made of local products that the city is known for. That night, they also got to check out an exhibition of products like Being Miss East, showcasing the art of weaving; hablon materials from Cebu Technological University-Argao Campus and Raquel Choa for the local tabléa. These were exhibited as a way to highlight each Maayo property and where they are located.
The anniversary celebration was off to a festive start as they indulged in sumptuous dishes while enjoying performances by the Knapsack Dancers, John Walt and Axel Bordario and Lupon Anduyo.
The night went on with more surprises including the awarding of its top accounts and top travel agencies, raffle prizes as well as the sneak peek of the Maayo membership card. By availing of the membership card, one can enjoy discounts and of Maayo properties’ food and beverages among other privileges which will be launched soon.
