A TOTAL of 11,590 individuals and families from three villages in Mabalacat City received packs of goods as early holiday gifts from the Provincial Government.
The beneficiaries consisted of 7,317 residents from Madapdap, 3,040 from Mawaque, and 1,233 from Camachile resettlement areas.
The gift-giving activity was led by Governor Dennis Pineda, together with Board Members Benjamin Jocson, Cherry Manalo, and Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab.
Pineda expressed his gratitude to the residents of each village for continuously supporting him and Vice Governor Lilia Pineda in their endeavors to uplift the lives of the Kapampangan people.
"Ako po ay malugod na nagpapasalamat sa bawat isa sa inyo sa patuloy na suporta na binibigay ninyo sa amin at sa provincial government," Pineda said.
"Sa araw pong ito, tanggapin niyo yung munting regalo namin at nawa'y magkaroon kayo ng masaya at mapagpalang selebrasyon ng pasko," he added.
He also informed the beneficiaries on the program of the Capitol called "Alagang Nanay" and encouraged them to not be hesitant in asking for assistance, especially in their medical needs.
Meanwhile, a resident from Madapdap showed his appreciation to the governor and his effort to extend help for the people.
"Masaya ako sa binigay ni governor at sa ginagawa niyang tulong para sa aming mga nangangailangan talaga," said Ricardo Gatus, 64, from Madapdap Resettlement Center.
It was facilitated by personnel from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by Angelina Blanco, Provincial Social Welfare Development Office headed by Elizabeth Baybayan, and Nanay Community Workers. (PR)
