THE administration of Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will give priority to three major areas this coming 2020.
Lawyer Rayfrando Diaz, provincial administrator, said Monday, December 16, that during the recent Provincial Development Council meeting, Lacson bared his priorities for the coming year.
This includes the renovation and repair of the Panaad Stadium, which will be the main venue of the Palarong Pambansa and will be hosted by the province in 2021.
"We want to have a better venue for the Palaro so we will give priority to the renovation of the Panaad Stadium because our facilities are already dilapidated," Diaz said.
The Provincial Government will also give priority on disaster preparedness and road networks in relation to the government's thrust on Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (Eclac).
This will eliminate the breeding grounds for discontentment and will give better access to the delivery of the basic services of the government, Diaz added.
He said Lacson is expected to elaborate more about his priorities for the coming year.
The governor's programs are anchored on his slogan, "Abanse Negrense," for his first term as governor of the province.
