Intensified police ops yield 310 crime suspects

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Hundreds of suspected crime personalities were arrested across over the region in line with the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon intensified implementation of simultaneous anti-criminality law enforcement operations (Sacleo).

Provincial directors and chiefs of police from the seven provinces in the region, under the directive of PRO-Central Luzon director Brigadier General Rhodel Sermonia, arrested a total of 310 personalities during the three-day anti-crime drive.

“The Central Luzon police force has been on its toes and have no let-up in their crime mitigation efforts to deprive criminals with the opportunity to carry out their nefarious activities,” he said.

Among those that were arrested were 100 persons with standing warrants of arrest for various crimes, three of whom are considered most wanted; 151 were arrested for illegal drugs, and 59 were arrested for violation of other special laws and local ordinances.

Some 13 assorted firearms, 376 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu), 28 sachets of marijuana, four illegally installed LED lights, and P4,951 cash bets and several illegal gambling paraphernalia were also confiscated.

“The Central Luzon police force is committed in the continuous conduct of proactive crime prevention and the same state of security preparedness to address security and public safety concerns in the entire region is being carried out especially now that it is the Yuletide Season,” Sermonia added.
