Guv urges authorities to solve bizman’s slay

GOVERNOR Eugenio Jose Lacson urged authorities to solve the killing of Robert “Kaisek” Tan including other extrajudicial killings (EJK).

“What is important is the solution to the case and other EJKs,” Lacson said.

Unless authorities can really determine who is responsible for this recent killing and also those before Tan then we the public would come out with our own conclusion on who is responsible for the killings, Lacson added.

“I go with the sentiments of Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran that authorities should find solution to the killings,” Lacson said.

He said maybe after two weeks, this case of Tan will not be talked about anymore so authorities should step up their investigation.

He added that he cannot tell how the businessmen would react to such incidents.

Kaisek, brother of former Bacolod Councilor Ricardo “Cano” Tan, was gunned down by unidentified assailants on a motorcycle Sunday morning, December 15.

A report by the Bacolod City Police Office said Tan, 70, was driving his Nissan Sentra car when one of two motorcycle-riding men shot him dead at 9:45 a.m. along CL Montelibano Avenue in Greensville 1 subdivision in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.

Aside from Tan, a man hog-tied with masking tape around his head and other parts of his body was also dumped in Murcia town over the weekend.

A musician was also killed in Talisay City, Sunday.

Lacson said that if authorities could not come out with solutions, such killings would fall on suspicions related to illegal drugs. (TDE)
