SENIOR citizens from Masantol can now enjoy a more spacious and comfortable area after the newly-improved Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (Osca) building was inaugurated over the weekend.

Fourth District Representative Juan Pablo Bondoc and Mayor Danilo Guintu led the ribbon-cutting and inauguration of the new facility located in Barangay Bebe Anac, Masantol.

Guintu said the Osca building was renovated to allow government personnel to better deliver their services to Masantoleño senior citizens, as well as provide a comfortable place to stay.

"Our goal is to provide the best quality of public service to Masantoleños so as long as there is room for improvement, we will do it. In this case, we renovated our Osca building to make it more accommodating and suitable as a workplace," he said.

Federation of Senior Citizens' Association Masantol president Johnny Balingit, meanwhile, expressed gratitude to the local officials for ensuring the welfare of the elderly in the town.

"This is just one of the testaments of the love and care of the Mayor Guintu, Congressman Bondoc and the local officials to our senior citizens and we are very grateful to them for that," he said.
