Mayor thanks city partners for improving Fernandinos’ well-being

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- “The more partners we have, the more promising the future is.”

Thus, said Mayor Edwin Santiago as he delivered his speech during the Donors Forum organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Office, Tuesday, December 17, at The Forum, Orchids Gardens.

Santiago extended his gratitude to individuals, non-government organizations (NGOs), and private organizations hand in hand with the local government.

“Itong Donors Forum ay pagkakataon ng siyudad para pasalamatan ang lahat nang (This Donors Forum is an opportunity for the city to thank all of its) partners in the residential and national levels. We are so blessed to have partners who immediately respond and actively support to our call in addressing the needs of Fernandinos,” he said.

The mayor also reiterated and regarded the role of everyone as vital in the culture preservation and development of Fernandinos especially of the children.

“Kailangan po ng mga bata ang matatag na pundasyon. Ipakilala natin sa mga batang ito na ang Diyos ang dapat unahin. Pangalawa, may kapwa siya, kalikasan, at bayan. (The children need a strong foundation. Let’s show the children of how we should put God first. Second is nature and the people.) Let’s make them the happiest people by giving them a livable and sustainable environment,” Santiago ended.

Meanwhile, Aileen Villanueva, CSWD Officer, stressed that the said forum was not just to recognize the city partners but also to “seek and build relationship to more potential partners in realizing the city’s goals in improving the well-being of Fernandinos.”

Santiago and Villanueva led the recognition and awarding of individuals and NGO partners of the city, namely Jackie Esola; Roger MAngalus; Mercy Grace Tolentino; End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purpose (ECPAT); Church Leaders Association Serving Pampanga; City of San Fernando (P) Alay Lakad Foundation Inc.; Children’s Home Eucharistics Love and Kindness; Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth; Ima’s Home for the Children; Reception and Study Center for Children; Inocencio Magtoto Memorial Foundation Inc.; Kapampangan Development Foundation Inc.; Banco De Oro; Fresh Hope Foundation Inc.; Tarlac Home for Women; Casa Miani; Palayan Home; Autism Society of the Philippines; PhilSeven Foundation; and, Bahay Pag-Ibig.
