PATAY sa engkwentro ang 17 anyos atol sa 15 minutos nga pagbinayloay sa bala tali New People's Army (NPA) ug kasundalohan niadtong Huwebes sa buntag sa Mt. Balatukan sa Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.
Ang engkwentro gikalambigitan sa 58th Infantry Battalion (IB), Philippine Army ug lima ka sakop sa NPA ubos sa Platoon PPH, Sub-Regional Committee 1 (SRC1), North Central Mindanao Regional Command (NCMRC).
Nabiyaan sa area ang usa ka sakop sa NPA nga nailang ilang kanhi kauban ug paryente nga misurender na nga mao si Efriel Taquin alyas Rogie, 17, sakop sa Platoon PPH, SRC1, NCMRC ug taga Lantad, Barangay Kibanban, Balingasag.
Nakuha sa posisyon niini ang usa ka 45 kalibre nga pistola ug improvised explosive device (IED), 100 meters wire, tulo ka blasting cap, usa ka cellphone ug nagkalain laing personal nga kagamitan.
Matud ni alyas Mesay ang kanhi Former Political Instructor nga si alyas Rogie, 15 anyos pa dihang gi recruit duha ka tuig na ang nilabay sa mga NPA sa Sitio Kamansi.
Niadto lang bulan sa Nobiyembre usa ka minor de edad napatay usab sa engkwentro sa Agusan Norte.
Ang international Humanitarian Law (IHL) act nagdili sa pagpangrecruit sa mga minor de edad.
Sa iyang bahin ni Lieutenant Colonel Roy Anthony Derilo, Commanding Officer sa 58th Infantry Battalion nipaabot sa iyang simpatiya sa pamilya ug higala sa minor de edad.
"We will give him respect and decent preparation for his burial and deliver him to his family," matud ni Derilo.
"We condemn on highest form the exploitation of our youth by the hearthless NPAs our children belong in schools, with their classmates and friends and not in the company of armed men. Give them a chance to achieve their aspiration and be successful in life," dugang niini.
