Delivery trucks for food, water, fuel exempted from truck ban

THE Cebu City Government exempted the delivery trucks transporting food, water, and fuel from the truck ban starting 12 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2019.

The exemption of the said delivery trucks is to ensure that delivery of the basic necessities will not be hampered.

This is one of the city’s preparations after parts of Northern and Central Cebu are placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 due to Tropical Storm Ursula.

Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak, Disaster Risk Reduction Management committee chairman, urged the gasoline stations to deliver as early as today their fuel to avoid shortage.

Tumulak also urged the public to store goods.

He also requested the advertising companies to roll up the billboards to avoid any accidents.

CDRRMC will check with the barangays for the preemptive evacuation especially coastal barangays and areas near the riverbanks. (JJL)
