'Ursula' weakens, to exit PAR Saturday morning

TYPHOON Ursula has slightly weakened as it moves west-northwest at 15 kilometers per hour over the West Philippine Sea, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday, December 26, 2019.

Pagasa has lifted Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) over Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, the rest of Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of extreme northern Palawan.

Meanwhile, northwestern portion of Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island (Luban, Looc, Paluan, Abra de Ilog, Mamburao), and Calamian Islands (Coron, Culion, Busuanga) are under TCWS no. 1.

Pagasa added northern portion of Palawan including Calamian Islands and Lubang Island may experience light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains. Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Rizal, and Northern Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains.

At 10 a.m. Tuesday, the eye of Typhoon Ursula was located 235 kilometers northwest of Coron, Palawan.
