THE Pantone Color of the Year for 2020 is Classic Blue. To get you ready for the year, here are some ways you can incorporate this color in your day-to-day living.

Blue invasion

Blue has such a calming presence that it can really add a nice touch to a home. It could be a lamp, bed sheets or tableware. But if you want to go all out, go for a statement chair or couch, or a removable wallpaper you can stick on one of the walls of the house. A color such as blue would stand out among other neutral colors and makes the space look bigger. It’s not about drowning the space in blue, it’s about giving little hints here and there.

Blue-toned work space

If there’s a place that needs more calming tones, it’s the office given the many demands one faces in a day. Blue instills tranquility. It could be something as simple as a stress ball, but you know you can do better than that. Feel free to take it up a notch by adding customized notepads, post-its, a blue mug or even personalized gadgets (without, of course, breaking the rules). Sometimes, it’s not enough staring at the computer screen showing the sky to get through the day.

Fashion forward in blue

When it comes to fashion, blue is always a great idea. It’s something both women and men like so the color isn’t that intimidating. But if you plan on giving a pair of jeans because that’s the safest choice for you (and because it’s blue) then you need to up your game and think beyond denim. There are plenty of options to choose from: A jacket, sweater, a pair of earrings, sneakers, a bag—there are so many and they come in different colors, including a classic blue hue. That’s the beauty of fashion after all. It doesn’t really have to serve more than one purpose, it’s simply pretty.

Bluish treats

Food is no exception in this quest for a blue world. Judging by the many cooking videos seen on the world wide web, people let their imaginations run wild and are not afraid to experiment with different recipes spruced up in different colors. Here’s a thought. At your next meal or party, try to add a touch of blue for the cake, serve blue colored French macarons or add edible flowers on your beverages. It doesn’t just look fun. It’s unique. (Photos From The Internet)
