Tarlac governor lauds NCC inclusive growth vision

CLARK FREEPORT -- Governor Susan Yap has lauded the inclusive growth vision of the New Clark City that is being bolstered by officials of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

The governor echoed this during the formal signing of an agreement between the BCDA and the provincial government of Tarlac for the stewardship of the 47-hectare property inside the New Clark City.

The memorandum was signed by Yap, BCDA president Vince Dizon, Tarlac Congressman Vic Yap, and BCDA Land and Asset Department vice president Richard Cepe.

Under the agreement, the provincial government will handle the establishment of institutional facilities inside the property.

“Finally we have a place in the center of the biggest hub in Central Luzon, the most vibrant place in Central Luzon and to be part of it and to be in it is such an honor and a privilege for the Tarlacaenos,” Yap said.

As BCDA President Vince Dizon said the New Clark City smart city project is inclusive, Yap expressed gratitude for being included in the planning.

“Maraming salamat at na include kame. Secondly that everyone is enjoined aside from being incluside the outpouring rate of investment in the region is such a welcome opportunity for us,” the governor said.

“For Tarlac who has been in the cross road of all the developments kadalasan naiiwanan kami pero this time there is a reason to see the beauty of Tarlac,” she added

With the vision of Dizon, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, and President Duterte, Yap said they believe and support the New Clark City project.

“Rest assured that we will come up with standards on the design and infrastructure at par with what you put and started here at the NGA center and sports facilities,” Yap told the BCDA chief.

“The 47 hectares will undergo a lot of talks but we already have visions and so many inquiries willing to invest under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode also but we have tightened and locked down the finer agreements of the arrangements here with BCDA. It is all systems go for Tarlac,” she said.
