MORE than P3 million worth of illegal drugs was recovered by police from six suspected drug pushers in Cebu City just before Christmas.
At dawn on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2019, anti-drug operatives of the Mambaling Police Station arrested Rod Warren Maraon, 37, a resident of C. Padilla St. in Barangay Duljo-Fatima.
Police Capt. Francis Renz Talosig, who heads the station in Mambaling, said they confiscated around 300 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P2 million from Maraon.
Talosig said they considered Maraon a “high value target” in the region as he was capable of disposing of large amounts of shabu to his
clients.
On the same day, operatives of the San Nicolas Police Station arrested Jovane Lauron, 30, and Jude Villas, 28, in Barangay Sawang Calero.
Recovered was around 36 grams of suspected shabu worth P200,000 from Lauron and Villas, said San Nicolas police chief Maj. Kenneth Paul
Albotra.
A few hours before Christmas Eve, three other suspected drug pushers were also arrested by operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and San Nicolas Police Station in two separate operations.
PIB operatives arrested Felix Saligo, 61, during the buy-bust and recovered illegal drugs worth P50,000.
In Barangay Calamba, a team from the San Nicolas Police Station arrested Jinky Entera, 48, and Enrique Dibdib, 48, after they were caught selling shabu.
Recovered from Entera and Dibdib were illegal drugs worth P800,000. (BBT / JKV)
