THE benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended the year 2019 at 7,815.26, up 4.68 percent year-to-date.
On the last trading day of the year, the PSEi was up by 349.24 points from last year’s close of 7,466.02 points.
However, the benchmark was down 27.02 points from Thursday’s close of 7,842.28.
Value turnover on Friday stood at P6.6 billion with 565.49 million shares changing hands.
Trading will also be halted during Rizal Day (Dec. 30), New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31), and New Year’s Day (Jan. 1, 2020). (CSL)
