CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led on Friday, December 27, the salary distribution of 2,758 Nanay Community Workers (NCW) under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad) program of the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole).

This coincided with the “Empowering Women through Involvement in Disaster Management: Orientation on Gender” organized by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), headed by Angelina Blanco, at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.

The said beneficiaries came from the municipalities of Bacolor, Mabalacat, and San Fernando City.

Each was given P4,000 in exchange for the 10-day work they rendered under the Tupad program.

Prior to this, NCWs from the fourth district, Sta. Ana, Mexico, Arayat, and Magalang were also given compensation last December 12 and 13.

According to Governor Pineda, he will always be grateful for all the help that his administration is receiving from the said volunteer workers.

(Thank you for all the support you have extended to me. I will not be here if not for you)

He also asked the NCWs to inform the people in their respective areas about the “Alagang Nanay: Healthcare Delta” which was recently launched for the less fortunate Kapampangans who cannot afford to be hospitalized.

“Dala yula pu king Capitoliu. King Alagang Nanay program, ala la pung bayaran. Ikami na pung bahala angga milwal la king hospital,”he added.

(Bring them to the Capitol. Under the Alagang Nanay program, they will not pay anything. We will take care of them until they are discharged from the hospital.)

Aside from the issuance of salaries, the beneficiaries also received packs of goods from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) headed by Elizabeth Baybayan.
