A FISHERMAN was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police said Friday, December 27.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Jeffrey Jamri Jambiran, 27.
Duco said Jambiran was arrested in a drug bust by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of the Police Station 8 around 4:30 p.m., Thursday, December 26, at Sitio Asinan in Kasanyangan Village.
He said seized from the possession of Jambiran were some P3,200 worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) packed in four heat-sealed plastic sachets and P200 marked money.
He added that the suspect was detained while appropriate charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
