NADINE Lustre surprised her Cebuano fans with a meet and greet last Dec. 20 at The Northwing of SM City Cebu, as this generation’s most influential superstar, together with Australian favorite BYS Cosmetic, launched Lustrous—BYS’ newest collection.
Lustrous is the widely successful makeup collaboration between the international cosmetic giant BYS and Nadine. The launch marked Nadine’s first foray into beauty as well as the brand’s first time to collaborate with a celebrity.
Each product of Lustrous—from eye shadow palette, highlighter, bronzer to lipstick—is carefully formulated for all skin types and tones, with products personally curated by Nadine herself, to empower every woman’s most desired beauty personas. BYS had released multiple collections but this time, the brand goes back to basics with a line of lipstick inspired by everything a Filipina needs for her everyday makeup.
“We decided to go for something natural, because our past collections were very colorful; summer-inspired colors, and now, we wanted to make a lipstick collection that is for everyday use. We noticed that it’s hard for us, Filipinas, to find a natural lipstick shade. Most of the lipstick shades available are either too bright for us or too dark,” Nadine shared during the interview.
Lustrous Matte Lipstick is a liquid lipsticks formula that comes in six wearable, barely-there shades: Diet (peachy nude), Drama Queen (almost mauve with a tinge of pink shade), Wine Pon U (red, the boldest lip shade from this collection), Buzzed (peach lip tone), Kink (subtle pink hue), In Love (flattering rosy hue) and a lip gloss named Oh La La that has a subtle iridescent blue shine. One can buy single shade or get the whole set with free double-sided LED mirror.
Each of this cruelty-free matte lipstick has a cream, long-lasting yet lightweight formula that glides onto lips smoothly and dries into a velvety finish with slim doe foot applicator which lets you carve your lip line perfectly.
