“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” they say. So if you’re waking up early, the food should at least be worth the time you spent preparing for the day when you could have hit the snooze button.

The Abaca Group’s Abaca Baking Company (ABC) recently opened its 10th branch in Cebu City and has two spaces offering guests plenty of reasons to get out of bed.

Its coffee shop is ready bright and early with its handcrafted pastries made fresh every day from croissants and treats both sweet and savory. One can’t forget its selection coffee blends all housed in a space with works of Cebu’s local artists on its walls completing the experience.

If the idea is to go all out, next to it is its all-day dining space highlighting a breakfast buffet.

Choose from its ala carte menu as it offers dishes both classic and signature favorites, including the ABC omelette with three cheeses, ham, onion, tomato, bell peppers and mushrooms; Filipino breakfast bowl with eggs, garlic rice and beef tapa, chorizo or bangus; and the omu rice featuring a kimchi and spam-filled omelette.

Guests can help themselves to its buffet spread with staples like pastries and free flowing coffee, to name a few.

ABC’s breakfast buffet is exclusive to its newest branch in Citadines Cebu City, Base Line Center. The Abaca Group is the food and beverage partner of the Ascott Group, which manages Citadines. This partnership makes it convenient for the property’s guests as ABC is located just below where they’re staying.

Though ABC’s priority for its breakfast buffet are Citadines’ guests, it is still open to the public.

ABC offers banquet packages as well made for different occasions as Citadines’ function rooms can accommodate up to 400 guests.

Check out Abaca Baking Company at Citdaines Cebu City. Its coffee shop from 6 a.m. to 12 midnight, while the breakfast buffet is available from 6 to 10 a.m. daily. S
