Tugade asks employees to pray for God’s guidance

“LORD, show us the way, not to fortune or fame, nor how to add honor and glory to our name but rather, Lord, show us how government service begins so that we can show the wisdom of Your Knowledge, the wisdom of Your being.”

These were the words of Department of Transportation (DoTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade to his staff during the agency’s first flag ceremony inside the Clark Freeport on January 2.

The DoTr chief also included in the prayer which he shared to the government employees, the kindness through public service.

“I know Lord that I shall pass through this way not but once. And if therefore there would be any kindness I could show or any goodness I can do, let me do it now, let me not defer it. For I know Lord, I shall never pass this way again,” Tugade stated.

The transportation top official at the same time directed his undersecretaries and management team to give a snapshot of the accomplishments, updates, and status of ongoing projects and programs per sector.

“Sana lang, sa aking pagbabahagi sa inyo ng aking dasalin, namnamin ninyo at gawin niyo ring inyong dasalin sa inyong sariling pananalita at sariling wika,” Tugade told the DoTr employees.

(I wish that as I shared this prayer, you internalize and make a prayer in your own words and language.)

Tugade also wished his staff a prosperous new year.
