PNP denies report on bonus release

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The regional office of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Central Luzon has debunked the post circulating on various social media sites regarding the release of performance-based bonus for its personnel.

The account that allegedly disseminated wrong information uses the official logo of the Philippine National Police Finance Service (PNPFS), which is in charge on the disbursement of personnel's salaries and bonuses.

The post allegedly stated the schedule of the release of performance-based bonuses on January 3, 2020 that will be credited on the ATM payroll accounts of entitled personnel.

The PNPFS denied the release of said information and its link to the accounts responsible for the dissemination of social media posts.

"The PNPFS categorically deny the release of such misleading information and that the person from whom the information emanated has no connection and does not represent the Office of the PNPFS," it stated.

The finance service added their office has the sole authority and responsibility to disseminate information on payments and dates of release of salary, allowances and all financial benefits.

THe PRO-Central Luzon warned that individuals responsible for the unauthorized use of the PNPFS logo, misrepresentation of its office including posting, sharing, circulating of fake or false news pertaining to salaries, allowances and other financial claims shall be held liable and subjected for investigation and subsequent filing of administrative or criminal cases.

PNP personnel are told to check on the PNPFS official website for any inquiry, official statement or update regarding the release of their bonuses or any related concerns.
