2 drivers nabbed in Zamboanga anti-drug ops

AUTHORITIES have arrested two drivers in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Zamboanga Peninsula, the police reported Sunday, January 5.

The Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula identified the arrested suspects as Abdul Sakilan Ladias, 25, and Allen Jawari Kullong, 36, habal-habal and Public Utility Jeepney (PUJ) drivers, respectively.

The police said that Ladias arrested in possession of some P3,000 worth of suspected shabu in a drug bust around 5:10 p.m., Saturday, January 4 at Purok Mahusay in the village of Poblacion, Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The police said recovered from the possession of Kullong were some P3,200 worth of suspected “shabu” when arrested in another operation around 6 p.m. on the same day in Torribio Drive in the village of Pasonanca, Zamboanga City.

The police said that also recovered from Kullong’s possession was P200 marked money.

The suspects were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them, the police added. (SunStar Zamboanga)
