A 60-YEAR-OLD woman was found dead at a shallow grave in Barangay Tabu, Ilog on Friday, January 3, 2020.
The victim was identified by the Ilog PNP as Melba Paglumotan, 60 years old, widow and a resident of Sitio Tabionan of the same barangay.
Initial investigation disclosed the victim was buried at a shallow grave in a sugarcane plantation and was covered by soil and sugarcane leaves.
According to police, the victim sustained hematoma at the back portion of her body and two stab wounds on her right arm. The victim’s neck was also broken.
The body was brought to Lorenzo D Zayco District Hospital, Kabankalan City.
Police are conducting a follow up investigation to determine the suspect and the motive behind the killing.
