Dumaguete hosts Cviraa anew

STUDENT-ATHLETES from the Central Visayas region will return to Dumaguete City for the 2020 Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (Cviraa) multi-sporting meet in February.

Dumaguete City will host the 19-division sporting conclave, which is a qualifier for the Palarong Pambansa, for a second straight year. The top athletes will represent Team Cviraa in the national meet.

Dumaguete City will make use of the hosting experience to get ready for its hosting of the 11th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) School Games later this year.

Defending champion Cebu City remains the top team to beat followed by overall second placer Bohol Province. Cebu City hauled 78 gold medals, 59 silvers and 76 bronzes while Bohol Province garnered 46 golds, 64 silvers and 76 bronzes last year. (RSC)
