THE newly-installed traffic czar said he wants to instill the importance of discipline among commuters and drivers, which he said is the major factor to the worsening traffic situation in Cagayan de Oro City.
"Gamay ra man ang problema sa traffic, isa lang ang nakadako, ang disiplina lang gyud," retired Police Colonel Rizalino Borlagdatan said in his first public appearance as the new RTA acting head during Monday's (January 6) flag raising ceremony at the City Hall.
Borlagdatan asked for the public's support as he implements possible changes in the traffic rules in the city.
As the City Government welcomes a new official, it also bade goodbye to Mario Verner Monsanto, the former overseer of both the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department and the RTA.
On December, Monsanto was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as assistant executive secretary to the Office of the President.
