AFTER almost three weeks of Christmas vacation, now students are ready to face school. Very often, students see new year not just as an added year in battling to pass their subjects, but as well as changing their unacceptable behaviors and habits to be a better student.

Let me then share some of the viewpoints of college students for the year 2020. Although, some would say that it is useless to plan for the big change in the new year since its accomplishments are impossible, but still I believe that each year comes with the hope for change.

Jan Marianne Artuz, who aims to graduate this March 2021, shared that she will give 100 percent effort in studying because only through this will reach the farthest. And she believes that to sustain one's dreams is never to give up.

Wilberto Rico Kwan-Tiu, who finds his life complete by reading inspirational books, shared that the "Secrets of great leaders" written by Carol O'Connor motivated him to be one of the miracles in this world. He wants to make a difference as early as now by becoming a servant leader not only in class but also in different aspects of life.

Lastly, Klausmieir Candis Villegas, who is a computer wizard, would like to start fresh by changing his lifestyle and perspectives. Although he believes that technology does change one's lives, but he remained faithful that a godly soul is perfectly changing one's life. He wants to become more productive with God and compensate for the missing parts of the preceding years.

May it be through reaching the stars, or by exploring the world through books or technology that will make college life better.

But truly, the new year will always remind us that we are blessed with the ability to reshape our lives with God!
