THREE persons, including a Top 7 drug personality and a beautician, were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police reported Tuesday, January 7.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Jeffrey Jallalain Limpasan, 32; Alfeo Pulani Tawasil, 27; and Nizfar Jaafar Abam, 47.
Galvez said Limpasan, listed as number seven drug personality, was arrested in a drug bust around 3:45 p.m. Monday, January 6, in the village of Boalan, Zamboanga City.
Seized from Limpasan were some P4,500 worth of substance believed to be shabu packed in nine heat-sealed plastic sachets and P200 marked money.
Galvez said Tawasil and his beautician companion, Abam, were arrested in another drug bust 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 6, in the village of Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City.
Recovered from them were some P5,000 worth of shabu packed in 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets and P200 marked money.
Galvez said charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against the suspects, who have been detained. (SunStar Zamboanga)
