Building office's collection up by 40%

THE Office of the Building Official (OBO) in Cagayan de Oro City has reported an increase of 40.35 percent in its revenue in 2019.

OBO's data showed it has collected a total revenue of more than P121 million, 11.67 percent or P14,150,957.44 of which came from the Annual Building Inspection Fee.

The P107,096,452.69 of the total revenue, on the other hand, came from the Building and Ancillary Permits and Certificate of Occupancy collections.

Meanwhile, the City Finance Department reminds all business establishments in the city to renew their business permits.

Acting Assistant City Treasurer for Operations engineer Leonil Mistula said any businessman who fails to renew their business permit on or before January 20 will have to pay the penalty of 25 percent surcharge and two percent monthly interest.

Businessmen can start their assessment at the kiosks located at the lobby of the City Treasurer's Office or through the online billing system which can be accessed in the city's website: cagayandeoro.gov.ph.
