“I WILL not ran for governor.”

This was reiterated yesterday, January 7 by Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer when asked if the merger between the province’s two political groups is still holding.

“I think there is no political line now. This is not a time for elections,” the vice governor pointed out.

He said that his position will not change even if influential people will tell him

to run.

I am still the president of the United Negros Alliance with former governor Alfredo Marañon Jr as our chairman, he said.

“I am okay with my current position as vice governor. If it’s God’s will that I will finish my term of nine years,” Ferrer added.

He also said that his prayers is for Negros Occidental to have “peace, development and more success.”

“There is political peace but if there are those who have ambitions, there will be no peace,” he said.

“We will respect individual decisions,” Ferrer said. “I and Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson talk only about governance matters not about politics, he said.
