Palces wins Tuesday tilt

KERT Palces bested 14 other pintopplers to emerge champion in the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba) tournament held Tuesday evening, January 7, at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.

Palces, whose handicap is 28, toppled 660 pins after three games to pocket the top cash prize of P800.

He beat Edmund Cambaliza, with a 30 handicap, and Ivan Awid (20) who placed second and third, respectively. Cambaliza scored 611 points to take home P500 while Ivan Awid made 610 pinfalls to settle for P200.

Rounding up the top five were Art Galendez (581) and Mike Aquiatan (572).

A similar tournament will be held on Saturday, January 11, then the December 2019 monthly finals will be played on Sunday, January 12. The monthly event stakes attractive cash prizes and trophies for the winners. (MLSA)
