AN OFFICIAL of the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) has revealed they discovered through the conduct of regular inspections that there are some 50 undocumented foreigners working in this city.
Dole Regional Director Ofelia Domingo, however, did not disclosed the nationalities of the undocumented foreigners who are working without the needed alien employment permit.
Domingo said the presence of the undocumented foreign workers was made through the recent regular inspection conducted by the labor and foreign national labor inspectors.
Domingo said these foreigners must first acquire alien employment permit from Dole and comply with the requirements before they can be locally employed.
She said that they will also check if these foreign workers have been naturalized or have investments locally. (SunStar Zamboanga)
