TWO persons were arrested in separate police operations in Zamboanga Peninsula, the police reported.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested wanted persons as Mersama Dibolong, 36, and Emma Ruales, 38.
Galvez said Dibolong, who is listed as number eight most wanted person, was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 9:35 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 in the village of Makiang, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.
Galvez said Dibolong has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no recommended bail issued by the court.
She said Ruales was arrested, also in a law enforcement operation, around 8 p.m. Friday at Sitio Agrarian in the village of Patalon, Zamboanga City.
She said Ruales has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of frustrated murder issued by the court of Zamboanga City. (SunStar Zamboanga)
