A SANGGUNIANG Kabataan (SK) chairman and his parents were arrested in a buy-bust in Opol, Misamis Oriental Friday, January 10.
Police arrested Stephen Kyle Sabasaje, SK chairman of Sambulawan, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental who was identified as a high value target in the illegal drug trade.
Also arrested were his step father Leonil Mabute Pepito, 45, and Evelyn Sabasaje Pepito, 38, all residents of Sambulawan, El Salvador City.
Recovered from their possession were three sachets of suspected shabu.
Also seized was the taxi they used for their transaction.
Opol Police Chief Major Evary Bacunawa said a drug suspect they arrested earlier led them to the operation against the SK official.
"Actually, number lang ang among nakuha gikan sa among dinakpan we had no idea kinsa ang among ka-transact. Sa operation na, diha pami nakabalo nga SK diay siya," Bacunawa said.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against the suspects.
