A DRUG BUST yielded P2.5 million worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in Barangay San Pedro, Binalbagan.

The operation led to the arrest of Herme Jun Abalajon alias James, 24, a resident of Barangay Rosario; Joemarie Ferrer alias Ber-ber, 21, of Barangay Enclaro; and Joebel Siatong, 31, of Barangay San Pedro, all of the same town; and Yan-yan Comita, 31, of Barangay 1, Kabankalan City.

Major Fernando Somblingo, chief of Binalabagan Municipal Police Station, said personnel of the police station and Station Drug Enforcement Team conducted the said buy-bust that resulted to the arrest of the suspects.

Recovered from the suspects were a plastic pack of suspected shabu weighing 250 grams with an estimated street value of P2.5 million, weighing scale, plastic straw, tooter, two units of cellphones and cash amounting to P1,650.

The suspected shabu will be submitted to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory for examination, while appropriate charges will be filed against the suspects, Somblingo added.
