4 teams undefeated in NBTC

ST. JOHN’S Institute (SJI) Baby Falcons, Colegio San Nicolas de Tolentino (CSNT) Knights, Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias (CSAV) Titans and Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) Thunderbolts remain undefeated with 3-0 slate in the ongoing National Basketball Training Center (NBTC)-Bacolod Leg.

In Group A, Baby Falcons outplayed La Consilacion College-Bacolod, 113-91, behind the dominating performance of Justine Co with a game-high of 33 points including four triples as Joshua Baldonado earned 23 points and Nicolas Pura with 21 markers.

With only two points in the first half, Kyan Andrada fired four triples in the third period of his 18 points.

Meanwhile, Kensay Sanco delivered 24 points for La Consolacion College-Bacolod (LCC-B) backstopped by Timothy Villanueva and Kirk Bitanga with 14 and 13 points each.

On the other hand, the Talisay City-based Knights pulled off a close with an 81-76 victory over the University of St. La Salle (USLS) Junior Stingers.

Akia Ferrer sizzled with 30 points as Carlos Segador added 22 points for the Knights, while Kharl Mangubat has 14 points for USLS.

USLS earlier dispatched Escalante National High School, 93-53, behind Mark Soberano with 16 points.

In Group B, the Titans survived a late challenge from Livingstone International School, 97-92.

Jessie Amago spearheaded Titans’ balanced scoring with 19 points as Rafael Catalonia, Rommel Hechanova and Dio Jules Isidto with 16, 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Livingstone, meanwhile, relied their scoring from John Louie Mermida with 27 points as Rowel Negro and KG Bayon added 21 and 17 points each in losing effort.

On the other hand, the Thunderbolts denied Sum-ag National High School Golden Stags with a homecourt advantage after a 91-55 victory last Saturday, January 11, 2020.

Tay Tung’s 6-7 center Henj Gabriel Demisana led his team’s dominance with 19 points, as Ralph Cagalawan and Kent Esparagoza added 13 nd 12 points each.

Meanwhile, Daniel Tresballes and Allen Leonidas anchored Golden Stags with 15 and 12 points each.

Colegio San Agustin Bacolod, meanwhile, dominated Negros Occidental High School, 106-72, behind Jale Leduna and Joshua Chavez with 18 and 17 points, respectively.
