Central Luzon cops on full alert status

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- Following the phreatic eruption of the Taal Volcano on Sunday, January 12, 2020, the entire Central Luzon police is now placed under full alert status.

Police Brigadier General Rhodel Sermonia, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon director, directed all personnel to be ready for deployment to assist in disaster and relief operations.

Sermonia also said that more than 1,000 search and rescue personnel are also on standby for possible deployment along with two Mantrucks, one canter truck and one Coaster van.

He further stated that timely advisories as well as safety tips relative to this natural catastrophe are being posted through social media for the information of the public. (PR)
