USA ka lahi nga pagsuway ang sagubangon sa mga runner sa 3rd edition sa Cebu Vertical Horizon Run nga gikatakda karong Enero 25, 2020 sa Horizon 101 towers sa General Maxilon Avenue sa Cebu City.
Ang Vertical Horizon Run lahi sa naandang running events gumikan kay ang mga partsipante mosaka ug mokanaog sa duha ka towers sa Horizon 101, ang labing taas nga condominium sa dakbayan sa Sugbo ug sa gawas sa Manila.
Ang mga partisipante mahimong makapili kon unsay ilang salmutan sa tulo ka mga kategoriya nga mao ang Full Challenge, Half Climb o Relay.
Sa Full challenge, ang mga partisipante mosaka ug mokanaog mga hagdanan sa Tower 1 (55 floors) ug Tower 2 (46 floors).
Sa Half Climb, ang mga partisipante mosaka ug mokanaog lang sa Tower 1 samtang sa Relay, duha ka runners ang mosagubang sa Full Challenge.
“We’re the only event in Cebu to feature this challenge. On our first year, some of the participants were scared but they have now realized that’s it’s not that hard to finish as long as you have prepared for it,” matod ni Horizon 101 project development manager Rona Lacanlale sa usa ka press conference.
Limitado lang sa 350 ka mga partisipante ang dawaton alang sa lumba. Adunay 150 ka slots alang sa full challenge ug half climb unya 25 ka mga parisan ang dawaton sa relay category.
“We started this a couple of years ago. We thought of an event to feature the tallest building in Cebu. It’s a good way of letting Cebuanos do stairs run which is unusual. Also, it’s an opportunity for them to see the view of Cebu when they reached the top floor,” batbat ni Taft Properties executive Jason Gaisano.
Ang kampiyon sa men’s ug women’s champions sa full challenge makadawat og P20,000 matag usa, P15,000 sa 2nd placers ug P10,000 sa 3rd placers.
Ang top three winners sa half climb makaangkon og P15,000, P12,000 ug P8,000.
Sa relay, ang top three winners makabaton og P20,000, P15,00 ug P10,000.
Ang rehistrasyon nagbalor og P1,000 sa full challenge, P850 sa half climb ug P1,800 sa relay. (RSC, ESL)
