Police arrest 2 most wanted persons

THE police have arrested two of the most wanted persons in separate manhunt operations in Zamboanga Peninsula, an official said.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested wanted persons as Chrispher Rella Mangumpit, 26, and Danilo Amondina Benlot, 58.

Galvez said Mangumpit was arrested around 10:30 p.m. Monday at Purok Tinago in Poblacion Village, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur.

She said Mangumpit is listed as the number six wanted person in Lapuyan has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of sexual abuse with no recommended bail issued by the court of San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

Galvez said Benlot was arrested around 1 p.m. Monday in the village of San Roque, Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte.

She said Benlot has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of attempted murder with P120,000 recommended bail issued by the court of Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

She said Benlot is listed as the number nine most wanted persons in Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte. (SunStar Zamboanga)
