Mayor Rene Maglanque has opened the municipal hall starting Tuesday for those who wanted to donate foods, clothes and other necessities victims who are temporarily housed in various evacuation centers.

He added that the local government will also be allocating funds for the purchase of food packs, and deploy manpower to assist in the relief operations.

"Governor (Dennis) Delta Pineda is already in Batangas to lead the relief assistance for the victims of Taal volcano explosion and we hope to also give our part in the humanitarian mission of our province," he said.

Maglanque said contingents from the municipality will be delivering the collected donations from CandabeƱos and local government to Batangas tomorrow.

"As a flood-prone municipality, we have always been the recipients of relief operations but now that somebody is more in need than us, it is better that we can share even a little," he said.
