Benguet welcomes Baguio rehab

THE rehabilitation of Baguio which entails addressing problems of its environment will positively affect Benguet Province according to a top official.

Governor Melchor Diclas welcomed the rehabilitation plans for Baguio City.

"Once water from Baguio going to Balili River will be cleaned, then we will be benefitting from it, once the sewerage treatment plant of the city will be funded," Diclas added

The governor however added from the development of Baguio, they hope it will also expand to the development of other municipalities in Benguet.

"We must also develop other areas aside from Baguio. We are also proposing the development of other tourism sites in the province including La Trinidad, strawberries, other areas such as cutflower areas in Northern Blossom and Sakura Park in Atok, Benguet. What I heard is also the development of La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba and Tublay," Diclas said.

The chief executive disclosed continuous developments are eyed in the different areas started by the previous administration.
