Ferrer pushes probe on ‘delayed’ payment servicing

ACTING Governor Jeffrey Ferrer is pushing for an investigation or possible internal audit on the alleged delayed payment procedures at the capitol.

Ferrer said delayed payment is from three to four months on request which was experienced even by his office.

"We want to find out and trace up who are not performing their jobs well and who are the concerned employee and office that causes the delay," Ferrer pointed out.

Ferrer revealed the situation when asked for his reaction about the possible reorganization of employees that was mentioned by Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz.

Diaz during the release of the capitol employees' extra bonus in December last year has also revealed delayed processing procedures that took him to personally bring pertaining documents to the offices concerned.

Ferrer pointed out those non-performing employees should be relieved and replaced by efficient employees because tolerating such work attitudes would be disadvantageous to the province.

He also revealed that there is a certain supplier who was already discouraged to join the recent bidding at the capitol because of such delayed payments.

Meanwhile Ferrer said that he has already made a request to Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa to submit to his office the list of capitol pending projects and the projects' respective contractors. (TDE)
