4 nabbed, P30-K shabu seized in anti-drug operations

FOUR people, one of whom is on the drug watch list, were arrested while some P30,500 worth of suspected shabu were seized in separate anti-drugs operations in Zamboanga City.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Christopher Tubio, 25; Franchesco Cabato, 22; Nelson Salvador, 25; and, Jomar Guevarra, 39.

Galvez said Tubio and Cabato were arrested around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in a buy-bust operation on Galvez Drive in the village of Sta Maria.

Galvez said confiscated from the two were some P18,000 worth of suspected shabu and dried marijuana leaves and P200 marked money.

She said Salvador, who is on the drug watch list, was caught in possession of some P3,500 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money in a buy-bust operation around 6:25 p.m. Wednesday in Purok 6 in the village of Bolong, this city.

She said recovered from Guevarra were some P9,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money when arrested in a buy-bust operation around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sitio Pantano in the village of San Roque, this city.

She said formal charges will be filed against the suspects, who were detained. (SunStar Zamboanga)
